About Janice

Namaste!

We all have a story. You are the narrator of that story and it can be whatever you choose it to be. If you don’t like your story, change it. I changed mine and have never looked back. Mindfulness and yoga helped me and I know I can help you. You have unlimited potential for the future. I grew up in a small town in Eastern Ontario. I have always loved and appreciated nature, athletics, family and the simple things like feeling the sun on my face, the stars in the sky and a good laugh with a dear friend. Adversity, however, faced me throughout the years.

In the midst of busyness, my marriage ended, I lost my father, who was an enormous part of my being. I sustained injuries from a car accident which impacted my overall health. The perfect storm was brewing. Physical and emotional wounds were ripe. I knew I had to do something and adjusted my sails. I quit a lucrative career and focused on my daughter and my health. Both benefited greatly from yoga and mindfulness. My personality is such that once I’m inspired, I put my whole mind, body and soul into it. “It” was yoga and mindfulness. I became a certified yoga teacher and mindfulness facilitator and never looked back. It is a huge part of me now and I take great pride and joy in helping others reach their full potential.

One of my greatest achievements (aside from being a mom to a beautiful, kind, smart, caring daughter) is helping others live fuller, healthier and more mindful lives, moving their bodies, feeling gratitude and being present in each moment. I have many clients who can testify to the impact my teachings have had on them to live a more graceful, healthy and happy lives. It starts with the mind and body.

My journey is not unlike yours. I was an eager, enthusiastic, hard working individual in the field of film and television for over sixteen years. As an Executive Producer in a boutique post production house, I was living what appeared to be an enviable and rewarding life. Overseeing the completion of national and Superbowl commercials, music videos by The Hip, David Bowie and Marilyn Manson and much more, I was swallowed up by the business. What was missing was balance, peace and ultimately joy. I was craving a need to feel more centered, calm and mindful in my daily life.

My connection to yoga, movement and meditation fuels me. Difficult times still come but with my practices, I can flow with it as I have become a much more resilient and a more positive human being. The greater joy comes when I can use these practices with confidence and assurance with others.

Aging is a privilege and a gift. Living in the moment with a healthy body and mind brings on gratitude with every step and every breath.

We invest so much energy into things that don’t really matter in the end. Investing in your health has to be the wisest and most prudent thing we can do for ourselves and our loved ones.

I would be honored to be your guide.

My passion and my goal is to encourage everyone to...
